Thanksgiving Morning Hunt

  Noticed this guy about 60 yards behind my stand.  Put him down with my freshly built 6.8 using Silver State Armory's Sierra 110gr ProHunter out of a Kotonics 16" barrel.  He dropped in his tracks with a neck shot as if someone flipped his lightswitch.  During butchering, I noticed that SSA ProHunter had entered his neck from the right at the base of his neck shattering the first rib on his left side near his spine.  It then plowed into his shoulder leaving a 2" hole as it exited his chest cavity and entered his left shoulder breaking his left femur at his femur/shoulder blade joint.   Thanks SSA, you have a ProHunter fan for life.                                          Longboat

Northern Minnesota Deer

Got this little guy in northern MN. Last summer I was up to my uncle's place where I go 4-wheeling and deer hunting. I found a nice little area with a lot of deer sign. A week before deer hunting, I went back up there and put up my deer stand. 3 days of sitting there paid off. I just happened to look behind me and there he was around 120 yards away with his nose in the rear of a doe. The bullet went through both lungs and the heart. He jumped once, and fell over. Thanks to SSA for their awesome round, SSA 110 grain Sierra Pro Hunter was used.                                                          Denny
